The exhibition Mexicalidad is a display of designs created by young Mexicans from different disciplines. The Museo del Objeto invited us to be part of the exhibition with our Travel Luciérnaga, a collaboration between Someone Somewhere, Sofía Lombardo, and Pamela Fuentes.

It all starts with the artisans of Hueyapan, a municipality in northern Puebla, where 92% of the population is bilingual (speaking Spanish and Nahuatl) and 70% master artisanal practices. "In Mexico, certain artisanal techniques are repeated, but the points and ties, which are the techniques being used for women's shirts, are only made in Hueyapan," says Glo from the design team.
One of the most fun and interesting processes at Someone Somewhere is the artisan co-design process, practically where all the magic happens before creating the prototypes that will later become final products.
